We Take IT for Charity, Inc. ("WTI," "we," "us," or "our") is a South Carolina 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 85-3916244) that facilitates charitable gifts of non-cash assets, including real estate, business and LLC interests, precious metals, grain and other commodities, oil and gas interests, and cryptocurrency. This policy explains what information we collect through wetakeit.net and through the gift process itself, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly, such as when you start a conversation about a gift, fill out a contact form, or move forward with a transfer:

• Name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
• Information about the asset you're gifting (property details, account or entity information, quantities, valuations)
• Tax identification information necessary to process a gift and issue a contribution receipt
• Information related to your donor-advised fund, church, or designated charity of choice

Information collected automatically when you visit our website:

• Standard analytics data (pages visited, general location by region, browser and device type) through Google Analytics
• We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties

We do not collect Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive financial account credentials through the website itself. Any such information needed to complete a specific gift transfer is collected securely and directly as part of that individual transaction, not through website forms.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Evaluate and process your proposed gift
• Prepare gift agreements, transfer documents, and contribution receipts
• Communicate with you about the status of your gift
• Coordinate with your named donor-advised fund sponsor (such as National Christian Foundation), church, or designated charity to route net proceeds
• Comply with IRS recordkeeping and reporting requirements applicable to non-cash charitable gifts (including Form 8282 where required)
• Maintain internal records consistent with our governance and document retention policies

We do not use your information for unrelated marketing purposes, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

When We Share Information

We share information only as necessary to complete a gift or as required by law:

• With specialist partners who help facilitate specific asset types — for example, Alloy Markets for precious metals intake and logistics
• With your donor-advised fund sponsor, church, or designated charity, so that net proceeds can be directed as you intend
• With professional advisors involved in a transaction, such as attorneys, title companies, escrow agents, or Steven W. Anderson CPA, LLC and other tax or financial advisors, when necessary to complete the gift and only with your knowledge that they are part of the process
• With the IRS or other regulators, where legally required for tax reporting or compliance
• With service providers who support our operations, such as DocuSign for document execution — these providers are bound by their own confidentiality and data protection obligations

We do not share your personal or financial information for advertising purposes, and we do not permit third parties to use information collected on our site to target you with ads elsewhere.

Data Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information you share with us, including secure document execution through DocuSign and limited internal access to gift files. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we encourage you to discuss any particularly sensitive account or asset information with us directly by phone or in a secure document exchange rather than by email where possible.

Data Retention

We retain gift-related records for as long as necessary to comply with IRS recordkeeping requirements and our internal document retention policy, and to maintain an accurate history of the organization's charitable activity. Records are retained securely and are not kept longer than necessary for these purposes.

Our website uses standard analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand general site traffic and improve the experience for future visitors. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not affect your ability to contact us or start a gift conversation.

Our services are intended for adults capable of making charitable and financial gift decisions. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
